In this review, the clarification and decolorization of sugar solution in the process of sugar production was summarized. The research status of various clarification and decolorization techniques such as adsorption, oxidation and filtration in sugar production process and the deficiencies of existing methods in production and popularization, were compared and introduced. In addition, the research direction of the clarification technology in sugar industry was discussed.
