Abstract
[Objective] To improve the mechanization and automation of tender coconut processing.[Methods] This paper designs a new tender coconut processing machine consisting of a compression rotating mechanism,a side -top integrated trimming mechanism,a clamping manipulator,and a bottom trimming mechanism.Mechanical analysis and calculation,3D modeling,and finite element analysis are carried out on the most critical side -top integrated trimming mechanism to optimize the design scheme.[Results] The main factors influencing the trimming effect are ranked as the tool feed rate >tender coconut's rotation speed >tool trimming angle.The optimal parameter combination of the tender coconut processing machine is the tender coconut's rotation speed of 450 r/min,the tool feed rate of 1 mm/s,and the tool trimming angle of 16.7°.[Conclusion] The success rate of coconut green processing of the developed machine reaches 100%,with the efficiency reaching 100 pieces/h.Thus,the machine has high engineering application significance.
